With bad weather and the typhoon a few weeks back, Korean cabbage has become an expensive commodity. Typically, kimchi is
always offered in seemingly endless dishes, but even last night at dinner (chicken galbi), we had to order more. Seems greedy as I write it, BUT, just an indication of the shortage's impact. Anyone who has ever traveled, or lived, in Korea knows that kimchi is THE staple item at every meal so it was strange to see the dishes sitting empty...
